How are you? I’m so glad that you found time for coffee with me for this week’s Weekend Coffee Share! Come in, come in, what can I get you? I’ve just made coffee but I can also put the kettle on.
It’s a nice day out but a bit chillier than it was, so while the windows are open and letting the fresh spring air in, I think it’d be too cold to actually sit outside on the patio today – unless you want to wrap up in blankets, then I’m all for it!
If we were having coffee today, you’d notice I’m a bit giddy. Well, a few minor but good things happened this week and I’m excited.
I’m so glad to see you could join me for today’s Weekend Coffee Share! How are you?
If we were having coffee today, we’d probably meet up in the old suburb of Gräfrath, where the 31st Gräfrath Christmas Market is currently underway. It’s a lovely place, all cobble stone lanes, slate-walled and roofed buildings with white windowframes and green shutters, an old fountain in the centre of the old market square and overlooked by on old convent church.
As of today I am a shop owner! I’ve finally set up my Etsy Shop, called LifeInNotes and I will be selling self-designed inserts / notebooks for all your Midori / Fauxdori (any sort of Dori really) / Traveler’s Notebook needs.
My first two listings are:
1.) Chunky 2016 All-In-One Calendar
Year on 1 Page for both 2016 & 2017
Month on 2 Pages for the whole year
Week on 2 Pages for the whole year)
as well as
2.) 2016 Monthly calendar
12x Month on 2 Pages
2 pages of notes
Year on 1 Page for both 2016 & 2017
The paper is thick and doesn’t shadow / bleed when fountain pens or stamps are used.
You can find the Chunky One here, and the Monthly One here.
In time I will also be stocking Recipe inserts, Review inserts (movies/books/theatre etc.), simple notebooks (plain, grid, lined, sketch), Fitness tracker, Travel Journal and loads more.
The calendars were listed first as they are dated, and those wanting a new calendar for 2016 should get their orders in before the start of the new year. I’ll be adding more listings as the inserts are going into production.
It’s the first Sunday check in of Round 4 of ROW80 today, and I’m afraid to say I haven’t got as much done as I had hoped.
I’m still working on my university assignments, and I’ve not had a chance to read more of my book Aristotle and Dante discover the Secrets of the Universe. So I’ll carry that over into next week.
I did, however, get a Midori insert designed, and I’m offering it as a FREE DOWNLOAD. It’s a Fitness & Food Journal for regular size Midori Traveler’s Notebooks.
What I did, though, was enter my 2013 NaNoWriMo story into a Fanfic contest over at Inkitt. As I’m new to the platform, those with established fanbases there (and pre-contest likes) are currently winning. So please take a second of your time, follow this link, click on the little heart to give The Bravery of the Soldier (a Sherlock Fanfic about John Watson’s army days and state of mind since) a LIKE and make this fellow ROWer’s day!
So, no real progress to report for this week yet. I’ve been easily distracted with work, gran in hospital, and a wedding to attend among other things. I’ve got focus now, though, and a new packet of ground coffee (and chocolate covered coffee beans) so fingers crossed next week will be better! Still aiming to complete 5-7 assignments by October 31. I need to finish 5, the other 2 are extras for another course. It’d be nice to have them all done by then, but the 2 are not that urgent yet.
