If We Were Having Coffee… On December 5

Hello my lovelies!

I’m so glad to see you for the Weekend Coffee Share. I can offer you the usual coffee or tea, or a mulled wine if you’d like.

Are you getting into the Christmas spirit? I’m not really, despite having been to a local Christmas Market today (which was pathetic). I also won’t be decorating. I live by myself and will spend Christmas dashing between mum’s, dad’s, gran’s and my other grandparents’ places, so there’s no point in me spending money on decorations I won’t be able to enjoy.

Have you polished your boots yet? Over here in Germany, we celebrate St. Nikolaus on December 6. Children are told that St. Nikolaus goes from door to door during the night of 5th/6th December, and leaves small presents (usually nuts, oranges, chocolates and a small gift like cinema vouchers or something else quite small that would fit into a boot) in children’s shoes.

If We Were Having Coffee… On October 17

Hello my lovelies!

How are you? Come on in for a quick cuppa in today’s Weekend Coffee Share!

If we were having coffee today, I’d preface this by saying I’m essentially locked in my flat to avoid distraction for the next two weeks as I have deadlines looming and need to get stuff done.

I’d also tell you that my Sherlock fanfic The Bravery of the Soldier is currently in 22nd Place in the Inkitt Fandom Writing Contest!! It’s the first contest I’ve entered as a writer, and to be 22nd out of more than 1,000 entries is making me all kinds of giddy.

As part of my preparation for DDP Yoga, I sat down and made myself a little Fitness & Food Journal for my Midori Traveler’s Notebook.

Members of TeamDDPYoga recommend that you not only take 6 Before Pictures in prep, but also get ready and get yourself a heart rate monitor, take your measurements and start watching the food you eat. Many end up with some sort of tracker in a journal, others use whiteboards in their homes.
