Hello my lovelies,

how are you today? You’ll see that I’m a day late with my Weekend Coffee Share, and the reason for that is that I am sick. I’ve got a major cold, and didn’t have any voice yesterday. I’m still sore all over and I guess I’ll have a really annoying cough for at least another week.

If we were having coffee today, I’d make us a nice cup of tea (with Manuka honey for me) or a coffee, just let me know hat you’d like.

I spent all of yesterday in bed, my headache was bordering on a migraine and my eyes got really light-sensitive. Unfortunately that means I am way behind on what I wanted to do. So I need to play catch-up today.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I saw the NTlive screening of Les Liaisons Dangereuses on Thursday (before my cold got this bad). I loved it! It’s a seriously sexy play, and way more sexual than expected from a play written in the 1780’s. I will review it shortly, but for now, I have to say that Janet McTeer and Dominic West were fantastic as Marquise de Merteuil and Vicomte de Valmont, and I loved Una Stubbs as the motherly Madame de Rosemonde.

If we were having coffee today, I’d also tell you that I’m waiting for February to start. Not only will the month bring a few surprises I can’t yet talk about, but next to a proper re-start of my DDP Yoga programme (this time with the meal plan), I’m also looking to join a local gym. Unfortunately, none in the vicinity are as good as the one I had in the UK. None here have a pool and / or sauna / steam room and I’d love to have the opportunity of a swim to get the weight of my back, and the steam room to relax. But for now I’ll take all the extra equipment I can get.

Have you read any good books in January? I have, and I will be reviewing them soon. Well, most of them were audio books, but still. And I’ve gotta say, David Tennant’s and Tom Hiddleston’s voices as readers are really good. Just Hiddleston’s Jamaican accent is hilarious.

If we were having coffee today, I wouldn’t have much more to say due to how I felt this week. I’m sorry I’m not better company today. I’m sure the other Weekend Coffee Sharers would love to hang out with you!
