Hello my lovelies!
I’m glad you could join me for the Weekend Coffee Share! How have you been this past week?
I am still in shock about the attacks in Paris. Well, not just Paris – Lebanon and Bagdad as well. What is this world coming to? All this killing is so senseless. How can a handful of deluded extremists cause this much damage in the world?
If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you I’m glad my friends in Paris are safe. And the Parisian NaNoWriMo participants who staged a Write-In last night before the attacks started are also well and safe. They decided to continue writing, to support each other so no one would have to be alone.
If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you about my NaNoWriMo project. My story, working title The Ancients, is going well. I’m writing by hand to get away from the computer and its distractions, and it’s working. I’m 15 chapters in and I think I’ve finally worked out my FMC’s motivation for doing what she does.
On Thursday, I went to Düsseldorf, to see the NT Encore screening of last year’s Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse starring Tom Hiddleston and Mark Gatiss. I think by now it’s fair to say that I do like Shakespeare, and as long as the play is gory (there was fake blood everywhere) and the lead is played by a hot guy who know’s how to captivate an audience (the most recent ones I’ve seen were Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch and last night’s Tom Hiddleston, of course), I’ll be there! A review will follow at some point.
If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that my DDP Yoga is going well. Some of it is trickier than expected, and I’m way more out of shape than I had realised, but it’s a start. Just maintaining a regular exercise routine will be a challenge.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that my SAD symptoms are bad this year. I hate the dark, cold and wet. I’ll be playing catch up with the blog posts I missed, but if you need any proof of how it’s affecting me, just look at the amount of blog posts I posted throughout the year compared with this month.
Anyway, I won’t keep you any longer. The other Weekend Coffee Sharers would love to see you too!
Thank you for having coffee with me. Same time, next week?
