Top Ten Tuesday is the brainchild of The Broke & the Bookish. Every Tuesday, we compile a list of our literary Top 10, and then add it to the blog hop.
This week is all about the Top 10 Books We Did Not Finish.
Well, that’s it. I usually try to at least finish the book.
I usually try to finish books, too. But if it’s really not working for me, I move on. But I don’t keep track of my DNFs, which I probably should.

Well… Goethe, Schiller and Mann were compulsory reads at school. Hated all three. Had to read Mann for my final exam, never finished the book. Tried again a few years ago. Still not happening. Though I usually don’t keep track either, those just stood out.

I had to read a horrible book…or at least I couldn’t get through it…in one of my literature classes. I went to the teacher and told her I couldn’t finish it and why. She gave me another book to read and write my paper on. I was glad I had spoken up. The book? Jerzy Kozinski, The Painted Bird.

Isn’t it a bummer when you can’t get through a book…
