Hello my lovelies!
I’m glad to see to see you for our Weekend Coffee Share! How has your week been?
Mine’s been busy and it’s far from over.
If we were having coffee today we’d meet at my place to avoid temptation. You see, I just started a new meal plan with a lot of restrictions. Luckily I’m still allowed to drink coffee (otherwise I’d have a major problem now), but I have to drink it either black or just with skimmed milk and I don’t trust the café in town to be sophisticated enough to offer their cappuccino with anything other than whole milk.
I’d tell you that from now on I’ll have to drink a chocolatey shake every morning. I just had my first one and it’s actually not that bad. It tastes like actual chocolate powder. My main problem with shakes is the texture, especially when mixed from powder, because grainy textures make me gag. So my gran gifted me her old blender from the 70s and I just had the shake with milk and it worked. It was actually creamy.
I went fruit and veg shopping yesterday and came home with two full baskets, although they included a bag of normal potatoes, a bag of sweet potatoes, a bag of onions and things like parsnip (which was quite hard to find here), zucchini, carrots, leek, celery, tomatoes, snow peas, bell peppers, and various other things. On Tuesday, I’ll have to eat loads of Sauerkraut – and luckily my gran has offered to prepare some for me with roast potatoes (can I get anymore German?)
If we were having coffee today I might ask you for your favourite vegetarian recipe (only potatoes allowed, no tofu, rice pasta etc.).
But the diet isn’t everything. It also includes ear acupuncture to help lose weight and cleanse internal organs. It’s a tiny needle that stays in your ear for a week and you don’t even feel it. In fact, you feel the plaster above it more as it tickles when you talk, drink or chew.
If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that my maternal grandmother is once again home from hospital, but we had to clean out the bedroom to make room for two hospital-style beds. It was our busiest week of the month at work, I had to make up three hours that night, and I had to shift the English lesson I teach and get paid for to Thursday. Because that created a shift, everything else fell behind as well, and now I once again only have today and Sunday to complete my uni assignments, and I’m helping a friend tomorrow. So yeah. This is really draining me. I barely sleep more than 4 hours per night because I have so much to catch up on and I’m under constant stress. I like to be very organised and make lists of goals I need to achieve, mentally already allotting time for everything. So no, when it comes to my study schedule, I’m not flexible. I don’t have classes, I have to keep to the time I set aside for it on purpose. So if I block out an afternoon to write my assignment I do so for a reason, and having to change it really stresses me.
Anyway, I could rant and rant but I’d rather stop here and talk about other things. Tell me about your week I hope it was more relaxing.
Thank you for stopping by. Same time, next week?
