Weekly Goals – Vol. 10

It’s Monday and that means it’s a new week with new goals to achieve. While I’ll still be blogging on here, I’ll definitely turn it down a notch or two now that A to Z is over.

As you’ll see, university is my priority and there are a lot of modules and assignments to get through. I’m actually trying to get ahead a little in order to shorten my overall study time.

The sun is coming out to play again, so hopefully I’ll be able to concentrate better with a fresh dose of natural vitamin D. My aim is to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine on my terrace for an hour per day and read my book(s). I still need to finish Devil in Amber.

Next to my list below, I will also be giving extra tuition in English for two hours if my student doesn’t cancel yet again. I’ll be teaching an old friend how to dance so she’ll be ready for her brother’s wedding at the end of the month, so I need to dust off my dancing shoes (I’ve been dancing Ballroom and Latin-American since 2001). It looks like I’ll have to help clean out my grandparents’ bedroom to make way for two new, hospital-style beds. That means at least one wardrobe has got to go and it also means my weekend plans are shot yet again.

Together with a colleague I’m also starting a new weight loss regime this week on Wednesday. This diet is mainly for metabolism – something I’ve had genetic problems with since I hit puberty – but the whole regime also includes acupuncture of the ear every week. All I know at the moment is that there are breakfast shakes and whole days of only tomatoes or sauerkraut in my foreseeable future. I’ll also have to stop drinking coffee and tea or anything with caffeine in it, so I apologize in advance for being a moody and cranky grinch. Me without coffee… let’s just say it’s not pretty. Add stress, subtract sleep, and multiply my workload without my usual go-to snacks and pick-me-ups and I predict the next few weeks will be hell for me.

I’ll let you know when I get to the point at which I want to try clay-pigeon shooting but substituting the clay pigeon with [insert random fruit or veg here].

  1. Good luck on your to-do list 🙂 I’m happy to see that you are helping your grand-parents.Sorry about the weekend plans. I wish I still had my grand-parents around.
