Hello ROWers!
How was your week? Mine was stressful but ultimately successful! Like every week, I posted a list of my goals on Monday, and while I did not achieve all of them, I did get a lot done.

Well, the MA501 assignment was a ten-page term paper on The Breakfast Club. The assignment was due on Thursday night at 11.59pm. Thursday was also the last day of the course, so it had to be in, no extension, no excuse. As I first had to clarify something with my professor, I could only start on it on April 10, but then we had another emergency with my grandparents last Saturday and I spent the weekend looking after them. Even though I’d watched the film and done some research, I only really got time to start writing when I took time off work on Wednesday and Thursday. I managed to upload it at 11.37pm after working for two days straight on it.
And here’s the best part: It’s already graded. And I got a B! That’s right. Ten-page term paper, 48 hours, B with 84%. did I mention I work well when I’ve got tight deadlines?
It’s not as good as I hoped, but as a journalist, I find it really hard to write a movie critique academically. That goes against my nature. But as that was the final assignment for that course, I now also know my final grade: I passed MA501 Psychology of Communication with an A- (91.5%)!! I am super happy right now.
As my next course does not start until April 27, I’ll have all of next week to catch up on CCC502 Cross-Cultural Communication, as well as the supplement courses (Community Journalism, Modern Business & Organisations, Modern Middle East II and Understanding Language). And I’ll spend some time preparing my university binder for the new course MA500 Persuasion. You know, printing out the syllabus, module overview, assignment sheets etc. so I’ll have everything ready to go when the course starts.
My A to Z Challenge is also going well. If you’re into travel pieces, check out this week’s pieces on Köln, Leconfield Farm, Mitad del Mundo, New York, Oxford, and Prague.
Oh, and while you’re at it, check out the other ROWers as well!

Congrats on your grade! And I know exactly what you mean about working well under deadlines. I’m trying to get ahead in my current courses because the end of semester comes at a really busy time for me generally, but so far, I haven’t been too successful with that.
