It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of the first Round of 80 Days already!

Out of my original goals, I have not really achieved a lot. I have been studying my butt off, but my creative writing has suffered in the process. I am making progress with my studies, though.

But all that doesn’t matter today. As a travel writer and frequent flyer, I am still in shock about Germanwings flight 4U9525. I do have a theory of what happened, but it won’t do to contribute to the speculations on the internet and I would rather wait for the results o the official investigation. My heart goes out to all the people who lost family members and friends on board this flight, including the Germanwings and Lufthansa crews who lost colleagues. These are trying times for everyone and they don’t need the additional heartache and worry blind speculation would cause.

I want to go on record that I will continue to fly and to fly Germanwings. The simple fact is that no method of transport is 100% safe.

I will leave the rest of my update for Sunday. It seems trivial to go on about what I’ve been up to in the same post as talking about a plane crash.
