It’s Sunday, so that means another ROW80 update is due today.
My writing and blogging are going quite well. I’ve posted something every day this week and I’m actually already ahead of the “1 post per day” goal I set myself. It’s the 8th of February, and this is blog post #11.
The stories I write are really short, but at least I’m putting pen to paper. I’ve got a lot of plot bunnies in my head, so I’m giving them all a few pages.
Studying is going well as well. I’ve got loads to do though. Here’s what the coming week will look like for me, and that doesn’t even include all the other small things:

I use the Poketo Stick-Up Weekly Calendar, by the way.
Yesterday, I basically took a day off studying. I know I should have done something, but I couldn’t focus. I spent the entire day lounging around, recharging my batteries. I pulled an all-nighter earlier in the week and that screwed up my rhythm. I needed a day off.
Today I made up for it by getting up at 7am and sitting down to study for a few hours before going to brunch at 11am. Then I studied some more and then I finally went to see The Imitation Game at the movies.
It’s a powerful movie and the cast is amazing throughout. I just spent the last 2 hours discussing it with a friend. The pioneering work Alan Turing did is truly remarkable and he was never allowed to tell a soul. But next to his achievements, the film also dealt with the fact that he was homosexual, which at that time was still illegal. For his crime of loving men, he was chemically castrated and later took his own life. He was the war hero the public never knew and instead of being honoured for his extraordinary work, he was punished for his “abnormal” sexuality.
I will try and get a review out tomorrow.
The movie has left me wondering why even today there are still people not accepting that love is love no matter what form it comes in. I do have a lot to say on that subject, but I will leave that for another day.
Right now, I’ve got to get back to my studies and then I want to try and write another short story.
You can check here how the other ROWers are doing!

I’ll look forward to hearing more about the movie.

Looks like you have a very full week ahead! Taking time for yourself is such a good strategy – to revitalize and recharge your batteries. All the best this week.
