In preparation of National Novel Writing Month, which is just around the corner, the NaNoWriMo team offers Pep Talks by authors to get you into the writing mood.
This pep talk is by author Kami Garcia, who is famous for the Caster Chronicles series (including Beautiful Creatures, which was made into a movie in 2013).
Personally, I feel validated in my use of Pinterest for story ideas, seeing as she herself says in the very first sentence that she uses Pinterest boards to pin motivational quotes.

Study. Read. Write. 
I’m not familiar with her books or the author, though I have seen the movie adaptation of it. As Movie Adaptations goes they generally stink.
Pep talks and preps are good.
I download pictures and look at them online, or use google images depending on the mood of internet. Cue the gears moving.
Speaking of NaNoWriMo, they generally produces diamonds in the rough. Passing you that awesome blend of joe. And Cue the war cry, that would startle someone in another part of the country.
