Writing Challenge: ROW80

Once again I’m a bit late to the show (I found out about NaNoWriMo last year the day before it started), but my excuse is that I only just found out about A Round of Words in 80 Days (ROW80) this morning.

Good thing is that ROW80 starts TODAY.

A Round of Words in 80 Days is a challenge. For writers, by writers. The aim is to set any kind of writing related, measurable goal and go for it.  Unlike NaNoWriMo and some other challenges, this doesn’t predefine a target for you. You can set it to what ever your current circumstances allow.

Whether it’s a certain word count per day, or editing a book a certain amount of pages at a time doesn’t matter. The important thing is that you do something that can be measured and do it for 80 days. That means from today until 25th December.

Sign up is via this link, where you enter a link to your blog (having a blog is a must) in which you state your goals.

Wednesdays and Sunday, you write another blog post and update on your ROW80 progress. You then link it to what is called the “Linky Tool”. In essence, this creates a blog hop. Other participants will be able to find you and you might leave encouragement on each other’s blogs.

I must be mad to take on yet another challenge (I’m studying online towards a Master of Arts degree, I do several short courses online, will attempt NaNoWiMo in November and now this) but I like a challenge as long as it lets me be creative.

I’m signing up. How about you?
